New Blog Contributor

I would like to take the time to introduce myself as a contributor to the Kids Vision blog as my small way of helping keep the vision and work of Kids Vision alive and well here in Western Australia. I am currently in full time ministry with Encounter Church and a big part of my role there is Children’s Ministry. I look forward to bringing you regular updates to help relieve Tania’s load in the coming weeks and months and hope that you will be a regular visitor to the blog. Don’t forget to subscribe and forward this to your co-workers in the field of children’s ministry as this blog exits to encourage each and every one in the work of children among Churches of Christ in WA.

Recent Network Meeting

June 17 was the first network gathering of Kids Vision for this year. The get together was held at Zamia Café in Kings Park, which is such a great spot for those working in children’s ministry as we sat on the doorstep of a great children’s play area.
The time spent was refreshing as we reflected on where everyone is in their ministry context and shared story and resource together. It was also beneficial as we were able to affirm anew the desire for a Kid’s Vision Network and the potential it has to assist us on the frontline of working with children in a ministry context.
By definition networking is, ‘a supportive system of sharing information and services among individuals and groups having a common interest.’ Kids’ Vision is our vehicle in Churches of Christ to bring those of us with a common interest in children together. It is our hope to build on that for the remainder of this year as we all collectively serve Christ together.
